Fletcher Memorial Library in Hampton has recently developed a modest exhibition space, The Top Shelf Gallery, and we are looking for painters and print makers who would be willing to exhibit their work for two months. Shorter exhibitions can also be arranged, however. We are especially anxious to feature area artists and we will do our best to promote the work.

Inaugural exhibitions by local painters Brian Tracy and Janice Trecker were well received and the library is hoping to show area painters, printmakers and photographers regularly.

Our exhibition space is convenient if a bit unconventional. The upper shelves will take paintings up to 32 inches in height and works of medium size rather than miniatures will show best. No hooks or hangers are needed and the work is safely out of traffic and out of reach. Our only request is that 15% of any work sold be donated to the library.

Artists interested in exhibiting should contact Anne Christie (annesgarden@aol.com) with some images of their work.
